You can find almost everything in Santo Domingo. European, Asian and North American brands can be easily bought in big supermarket chains. La Sirena/Pola, Plaza Lama, Supermercados Bravo, Supermercados Nacional, Supermercados La Cadena, Jumbo, Pricesmart and the French franchise Carrefour are among the largest.

Check the local newspaper for special discounts that many offer on Thursdays, Wednesday, during the weekend and on special holidays. Many products can be bought with juicy discounts, specially fruits and vegetables, meats and other daily products.
